The CCI Contact Desk contributed to this year's Estonian Fashion Festival by presenting an award to the most sustainable fashion designer. The award included a study trip to Copenhagen, which involved visiting the Copenhagen Sustainable Fashion Week and the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair. Due to the skillful use of textile and leather industry waste, as well as the implementation of the zero-waste principle in production, Cärol Ott won the sustainability award at the Estonian Fashion Festival 2024. Consequently, she travelled to Copenhagen to attend the Copenhagen Fashion Week 2024. During her visit, she explored fashion exhibitions, gained inspiration from fashion shows, and discovered new talent programs in Copenhagen.

In her own words, she put the trip as follows: "I had a great time on my trip to Denmark, which served as a wonderful introduction to the center of Scandinavian fashion. Copenhagen Fashion Week is quickly becoming one of the top fashion capitals, with a strong focus on promoting sustainability. It was refreshing to see that only brands that prioritize sustainability are welcomed there. I enjoyed discovering the work of local young talents and comparing it to my own, in order to understand what it takes to be among them in the future. I also met a talented designer from Finland, and it made me hope that perhaps one day designers from Estonia will also gain recognition there. The city's stylish and daring architecture provided a lot of inspiration for my future projects. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience."

The CCI Contact Desk is very grateful to be able to offer young talents such possibilities through its work. All the best to you, Cärol Ott, and may your designs be featured at Copenhagen Fashion Week very soon!
