The resounding success of the inaugural Estonian Fashion Festival, held in Tartu from June 6th to 9th, was a testament to the growing interest in sustainable fashion. As part of the main program of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, the festival drew in a crowd of around 1500 people who engaged in vibrant discussions on environmentally friendly, accessible, and sustainable fashion in diverse formats.

At the heart of the festival were three unique fashion shows—Mood-Performance-Dance, Antonius Fashion Show, and OmaMood.

The festival served as a platform for 39 Estonian designers leading the way in incorporating sustainable practices in their work.

The CCI Contact Desk contributed to this year's festival by presenting an award to the most sustainable fashion designer. The award includes a study trip to Copenhagen, which will involve visiting the Copenhagen Sustainable Fashion Week and the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair.

Based on skilfully used textile and leather industry waste and the applied zero waste principle in production, this year's winner is CÄROL OTT!!!

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the talented Cärol Ott, an up-and-coming young Estonian designer! We are also deeply grateful to the Estonian Fashion Festival for their outstanding cooperation and the invaluable opportunity they provided!
