On 7 and 8 May 2024, the BSR Cultural Pearls project, co-funded by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region is hosting the Culture for Resilience Forum 2024 #c4rforum in Jakobstad/Pietarsaari, Finland. The city is also one of the four Cultural Pearls 2024, a title awarded by the project to the most promising Cultural Resilience Action Plans. The latter are to be implemented within the title year assisted by mentoring and further resources provided by the project.
The event, as well as the project itself, focuses on the role of culture in societal resilience and community strengthening and brings together 100+ officials, creatives and professionals exchanging ideas on how culture can consolidate and empower communities, thereby enhancing their social resilience.
The forum will be most relevant to municipalities of small and medium size cities in the Baltic Sea Region, professionals from the cultural and creative industries (CCI) and researchers.
