On 7 March, Interreg Europe’s Policy Learning Platform is dedicating an online workshop to regional sustainable mobility and demand-responsive public transport in rural areas. From 14:00 to 16:30 CET, two sessions and two interactive discussions are planned with expert speakers from Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal presenting best practices. Following this, there will be the opportunity to use time slots in an online policy helpdesk meeting for individual needs from 16:30 to 17:00 CET.

This workshop demonstrates exemplary solutions and lets participants choose from three presentations per session on sustainable mobility and demand-responsive transport (DRT). These refer back to past Interreg Europe projects and conclude with an interactive discussion.
Presentations to pick from:
1) Jeffrey Matthijs on shared mobility
2) Ricardo Palma and Irene Ruiz on the potential of cycling
3) Irene Nicotra and Massimiliano Petri on Good-Go, a platform to collect credits and rewards by choosing sustainable means of transport

The following session offers the choice between:
1) An interview with Christian Ramelli on DRT
2) A talk by Albert Guillaumes Marcer on shared mobility
3) Jorge Brito’s example of Sit Flexi, a DRT system in Coimbra
